ACCCC Elections
11/10/2006Audi Car Club Chicagoland Chapter
2006 Director & Officer Elections
OVERVIEW:
It is time to elect Chapter Directors for 2006. Once the nominations have been received, an electronic ballot will be posted on the web site.
ELECTION PROCESS:
Directors are elected to a two year term. There is no limit on the number of terms a director may hold a position. A director is required to be a current voting member of Audi Car Club North America (not an associate member). The candidate must own an Audi. Members of Audi Car Club North America in the Chicagoland area will be eligible to vote for the Chapter directors. Associate members who do not currently own an Audi are not eligible to vote. There are 12 director positions total and 6 are available to serve for 2007 and 2008. The elected directors will nominate and vote for the Officer positions at the first board meeting that follows. Traditionally, these positions are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer. The directors are responsible for voting on club issues. These generally pertain to the various events that the club sponsors. They are expected to attend regular meetings and participate in e-mail discussions. They will also be expected to volunteer for various committees and activities such as the holiday party, sponsorship, driving schools, autocrosses, Spring/Fall drives, picnics, web site, etc.
WHAT TO DO IF INTERESTED:
If you're interested in becoming a director, please e-mail info@audichicago.org with a short bio on yourself describing your desire to hold a director position. This bio will be included on the voting ballot. The deadline for receiving nominations is November 10, 2006. Voters will vote for a maximum of 6 directors from all of the nominations.
TIME FRAMES:
Nominations are due by November 10, 2006. Voting will be available at www.audichicago.org by November 13, 2006. Voting will end November 24, 2006. Winners will be announced no later than November 30, 2006.

ACCCC Member of the Year
8/14/2006Dan Vladovich embodies the very best of what our local chapter is all about. Last Saturday at our Blackhawk Farms Driving School, one of our members who was at his first track driving school experienced a mechanical failure during the slalom exercises. Normally, losing a brake caliper mounting bracket would send you home on a flatbed - particularly if you had an aftermarket brake kit and it was a Saturday morning.
A few calls later (consulting he who knows all things Audi - ScottD)a member was located that had the needed part - Dan Vladovich.
Without any arm twisting or promises of large sums of money (he even refused gas money), Dan dropped what he was doing and drove two hours to get to Blackhawk farms to deliver the part.
The parts were installed and our track Newbie was able to enjoy his first experience with little interruption.
Dan ? thank you for performing above and beyond reasonable expectations. You and folks like you are the main reason you meet the nicest folks driving an Audi.
