The 2005 elections for the ACCCC Board of Directors is now closed. Marko Mladenovich, Ken Koppitz and Ted Selepa were re-elected to the board and will be serving additional two-year terms. The Board of Directors would like to welcome new board members: Kyle Crews, David Press and Eric Roth who will also be serving a two year term. These six gentlemen will be joining incumbent Board members: Chris Altemeier, Bob Humphrey, Bryan Knight, Phil Pace, Bill Steineke, and Mike Witbrod whose terms will expire December 1st, 2006. The board members will be electing officers at their next meeting and results will be announced shortly thereafter. We would like to thank the membership for their support and hope to continue the strong tradition of membership service and new opportunities for Audi lovers.

It's that time of year again with the leaves turning color, pumpkin pies and brisk temperatures. Join us for our annual fall drive this year through the beautiful Kettle Moraine area of Wisconsin. Meet us November 19th in the parking lot of the Wal-Mart on route 50 just west of US 12 in Lake Geneva. This will be a fun, time and distance rally with check-in starting at 8:30 AM and the first car off at 9:00 AM and ending at Millie's Restaurant in Delevan, WI where you may buy lunch and dine with the group. While registration for this event is FREE, we ask that you be sure to pre-register so we can get a count of attendees to the restaurant. Hope to see you on November 19th.

Due to the overwhelming response for our second event at Autobahn Country Club, we have had to close registration for novice and intermediate drivers only. We still have spots open for instructors and advanced drivers (12+ events). Otherwise, the event is currently full with a few people already on a "wait list". If you wish to be added to the wait list, applications will be ranked in order of receipt. It's not unusual for a few cancellations for an event like this, so there is still a chance that a few of the wait-listed applicants will be able to participate in the driver's school. Thanks to everyone for your response and interest in our 2005 Driver's school season. Please remember to sign-up early for Our Autobahn Driver's school next April.

The FINAL autox of the season is rapidly approaching and it is again out at the Tire Rack in South Bend. The season champs will be noted and awards will be given out! Be there!

Get ready for the annual Audi Car Club Chicagoland Chapter Spring Drive! This edition will commence in Gillson Park (Lake Ave, just east of Sheridan Rd.), Wilmette, on Sunday, May 15, and terminate just over the border in Kenosha. Arrive by 9:30 a.m. and after a brief meeting, cars can begin the drive as desired.

The theme for this drive is Lake Michigan. Following parts of the Great Lakes Circle Tour, the drive features many scenic and historic places along the lakefront with gorgeous vistas of the lake.

The drive will conclude around noon, followed by lunch at the Boat House, conveniently located at the corner of Lake Michigan and Kenosha's small boat harbor, and will allow for more individual activities in the afternoon. More than just the drive, you can make the day of an excursion by being located near places such as the Mars Cheese Castle, the outlet malls at Kenosha, Gurnee Mills Mall, or Great America.

Cost is $15 per person and includes a roast beef and chicken buffet with mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, mostaccolli, tossed salad, pasta salad, veggies and dip, rolls, coffee, tea, and sherbet. Other beverages are at the individual?s discretion and funding.

Online registration is open and registering ahead of time will ensure proper food allocations.
