Thank you to all who came out to our second autocross event. It was a bit of a windy day but we had a great layout and a great event overall. Preregistration for our third autocross at Alexian Field on July 13 is open now so sign up in advance and avoid the walk up fee. Again, thanks to you all who made this a great event.

Autocross #2 Results

This is to announce a change in plans to our previously scheduled Friday activities at Blackhawk Farms for June 21st. This year we simply did not have enough qualified candidates for our annual Instructor Clinic. With this in mind, the entire Friday portion will now be an advanced driver's day - all day. What is an "Advanced Driver"? We are generally looking for a minimum of 4-6 Audi Club Driving schools to qualify for this event. I cannot think of a better way to extend a great weekend at Blackhawk than by adding this third day to your plans. Of course, this day is available as a "stand-alone" registration option, but few things say Summer quite like a three-day June weekend at Blackhawk Farms with friends and fellow car enthusiasts.

Our Teen Safe Driver Clinic is a great opportunity for a teen to work on improving their driving skills in a safe, controlled environment. Each teen has a personal instructor in their car who coaches them during participation in the various exercises which are designed to teach safe driving techniques, including braking, lane changes, driving on slippery roads and reacting to an over-steering or under-steering vehicle. Unfortunately automobile accidents are currently the leading cause of death for teens. Safe driving is a learned skill that requires practice - additional driver training is the key. This clinic will present the teen driver with information and experiences which will help them begin a life-long effort towards improving their driving skills and becoming safer on the road. Open to all Licensed teen drivers 16-19. Membership in ACNA is not required to participate.

At this time we have five (5) dates secured for our autocross season.

Keeping with tradition, we begin and end our season at the beautiful TireRack test track in South Bend, IN. We really appreciate TireRack for offering this facility to our club and as always, members and non-members alike are welcome

If autocrossing is new to you, we'll make sure that you are paired with one of our Auto-X Ambassadors who will work with you as you learn the intricacies of car control in a controlled environment. Registration will open approximately one month before the first event.

Please note that registration for Saturday events closes at 11:59PM the Thursday before and for Sunday events, it closes at 11:59 PM the Friday before.
