It was an honor to be elected Chapter President by our Board of Directors last year and with your vote, I would like the opportunity to continue to serve the Audi Community. Having been a club member for eight years and serving on the board and as an officer for the last six-years, these experiences have rewarded me time and time again. The friendships I've had the great pleasure of forming through club activities are worth more than several lifetimes of membership dues. Friends from diverse backgrounds who have been there for the good times (and stuck with me through the bad times) completely transcend the "car thing". This past season brought a return of our "Show & Shine" Picnic, which was a resounding success. We had perfect summer weather for a family-friendly event. The Show & Shine brought a relaxed atmosphere where we were able to meet a lot of the members who aren't as interested in driving the wheels off their cars at the track or in an autocross, but were passionate about their Audis. Events like this tend to be more inclusive to a broader portion of our membership and we hope to offer more of them in the future. In 2008 our chapter also hosted its first Teen Driving Clinic. I hope to be able to continue this going forward as it was one of the most rewarding events I have had the pleasure of working. We had a great turnout from our instructors and the 18 young drivers (and their parents) had a lot of fun while improving their fundamental skills and challenging their abilities. If you've never had the opportunity to participate in our activities, please do so. You'll meet one of the greatest groups of people and wonder why you waited so long. Even if you're not sure if you want to jump in, at least come out to our events to say hello and to introduce yourself. Our event schedule is always posted on www.audichicago.org. Going forward, I want to continue to shape the club with the needs of the members first and foremost. With your support, I'll be back for another two years of working with our outstanding volunteers and members. |

As an incumbent so to speak, I would like to continue serving the Chicagoland Audi community. For the club I have helped on numerous fronts, and enjoyed every minute of it. After Ken Koppitz started the Auto-x ball rolling, I along with Bill Steineke and David Press helped foster that into what it is today, and I am thrilled to help keeping it going. If you have attended any, you will remember me as the curly haired guy running the computer. I have also been the Webmaster for Audichicago.org and am responsible for the recent redesign of the site. You have probably seen me at any number of the local events, from Auto-x to the Driving Schools to the parties. If reelected, I will continue to maintain the level of service that the Chicagoland Chapter has had, and I will work to make it even better. The Chicago chapter is one of the most active in the country, and I want to help keep that going! |

I would like to begin by saying thank you to the membership for allowing me serve as a Club Director for the past four years. It has been my pleasure to be a member of the club and to serve on the Board. I couldn't be more pleased when I think about the successes we all have shared in the last few years; the Chicago Chapter has grown and evolved into one of the strongest chapters in the country. We continue to offer a great value to our membership with a variety of educational, competitive, and social activities. Over the past four years I have been primarily focused on helping develop the Club's Driver Safety Schools and Instructor Development Program. I am involved in almost every Driver's Education event hosted by the Chicago Chapter and have served as the primary event coordinator for the annual DE event at Blackhawk Farms. I am currently a member of the ACNA National "At Speed" Driver's Events Committee. As a member of this committee, I represent the Chicago Chapter and work with members from across the country on issues related to DE Events. The focus of the committee is to improve safety, standardization of process, sharing best practices, instructional material, and instructor development. I would be honored to serve the club for another term and respectfully ask for your vote in the upcoming election. |

Greetings all. My name is Darryl Drake. I bought my first Audi in Jan 2002. Since then, I have met countless people as a result of the Audi Club. The club has provided me with many wonderful memories and too many stories to count. I have always been proud of the cars I drove (except maybe the Subaru Brat), but it wasn't until the Audi that I realized what a true "car passion" was. The Audi club immediately put me in touch with others that shared a love of cars. Those that know me know that at the heart of my passion are the Track Events. The track events are what first pulled me into the club. Over the years, I have also participated in the Fall and Spring Drives. The recent Teen Clinic and several other events have exposed me to the club away from a track. Each of these events revealed another layer of the club where I found more enjoyment. I have made friendships with folks that have never been to the track. The bond we all share is a passion for cars, primarily Audis. I have a strong analytical background and firm understanding on the importance of operating within a budget. I routinely interact with colleagues from around the world and work constructively with people of all diversities. Through daily interaction with people whose first language is not English, I have learned to focus on what people mean, not what their words say. Although I have yet to discover anything with the club that I feel needs immediate changing, I do realize that I am not exposed to all of the inter workings of the club. Two primary forces are pulling me towards an elevated role in the club. #1. I wish to give back to the club that has given me so much in the last 6 years. #2. I feel my professional experiences can bring a positive perspective to the club and its future. Thank you for your consideration, Darryl (aka WindyCityS4 on AW) |

Fellow members, I am asking for your consideration for a position on the Board of Directors of the Chicago Chapter the Audi Club of North America. My wife Jacquie and I became members in 2005, after the purchase of our second Audi and many of you may know me from participating in the local driving schools, autocrosses and social events. My training is as an electrical engineer and I have no mechanical skills whatsoever. However, this has not stopped me from loving the Audi brand and from diving into our chapter headfirst. As a new member, I wasn't sure what to expect - open arms or a long acceptance period. I was elated to see that the chapter is first and foremost, a group that enthusiastically welcomes all newcomers. I quickly learned that we could hone our street driving skills, challenge ourselves on a track, or have a friendly competition in a parking lot. But the best part about being a member is the camaraderie, and that attitude is a direct result of the efforts of the Board of Directors. My hope as a member of the board is to help each and every one of you get as much out of the group as I have in my short time as a member. |

I will keep this short. I am completing my second term on the Board and hopefully not my last. My contribution to the club has been the donation of time to coordinate events, handle classroom instruction at the driving schools, and bring 10 years of experience being involved with other car clubs prior to my Audi involvement. I feel as though I still have more to contribute to this club and would like to serve on the board for another term. Thank you. |

Why have I submitted my name for re-election to the ACCCC Board? ACCCC is a great club! I have enjoyed all sorts of events and camaraderie over the past several years since becoming active in the club. And the past 2 years as a member of the Board has offered me the chance to become even more involved in planning of events, and getting to know the members. My Audi experience began back in the 80's with the purchase of my '86 5000 CSQ (one of the pearl white ones with ATS wheels), and I've been a fan ever since. Other Audis have included a '93 100CSQ (affectionately referred to by my wife as her cocoon due to its all weather feeling of security), a 98 A6Q, and most recently my '02 allroad. I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of the turbo diesel Q7 to see if that might be my next tow vehicle. What can I bring to the club? I'm currently the recording Secretary on the Board. I've been active in our track events, autocross program, and the recent teen clinic. I also bring a fair amount of prior club experience to ACCCC. When I lived back east, I was extremely active in PCA. Over 8 years, my contribution to that club included 5 years on the board along with being Technical Chairman, Drivers Ed Registrar, Drivers Ed Chairman, and part of the committee that established the PCA Club Race series. I organized multiple track events each year for the club at such venues as Summit Point, Watkins Glen, Mid-Ohio & Pocono, and arranged several tech sessions per year in conjunction with our sponsor shops. Yea, I'm a track junkie/ instructor with 300+ days of track time in multiple car clubs. To fund my car addiction, I work as Director of Six Sigma Quality for Global Sales at Cabot Microelectronics in Aurora. I'm active in my church and my 6-yr old daughter's school. I've thoroughly enjoyed my involvement with the ACCCC over the past several years, and now would like to ask for your vote to be re-elected to the Board. |

Voting will open soon, stay tuned! |
